2002 Journey DL 36GD 50 Amp circuit

When I plug in to shore power on 50 amps, the control panel only shows 30 amp service for a period of time before 50 amps engages. This just started happening this year. At first I thought it was the campsite electric, but it also did this on another site. Does this have something to do with the inverter? I know it's only running 30 amps because only 1 of the AC compressors is running until it switches to 50 amps. It is taking 20 minutes or so for it to go from 30 amps to 50 amps. Not a big deal but wasn't sure if this is a sign of something going bad that I need to address soon.

Was having the same problem in 2017. Finally traced it to the Powerline Smart EMS circuit board in the 110V breaker box, in our case beneath the fwd end of the bed. The circuit board had a bank of about a dozen or so resistors that were burning out in a slow roll.

This is not your EMS. But you have something similar.

Had someone look at it in Tucson. Again a couple of months later in Custer, SD. No resolution. Tossed the mystery out to this Forum. Someone suggested I check which breaker the third leg was sensed from. In our case, the engine heater breaker. While spending a few days at the Idaho Nat. Guard base in Boise, I was following through on that suggestion by just staring at the wiring in the open breaker box, when SWMBO asked me if those little things looked burnt. It all came together.

Good Luck.

Thank you for the response. I'll take a look at that.
