2002 Suncruiser/Adventurer 32V--Good year??

Been looking at 2002 Adventurer's and Suncruisers (32V) built on a Ford F53 chassis. I think the 32V was a new model in 2002. What's the current owner satisfaction level with this year and model? Problems/Issues?? I've stayed away from the Workhorse chassis in this year and model because of the potential brake recall issue. Would appreciate any feedback you could give on that year and model. Thanks for your comments.

The Workhorse brake recall has started, don't let that keep you away from Workhorse Chassis.

We have a 2001 Adventurer 32V on the Ford F53 chassis and love it. We have over 80,000 on the odometer. The only differences (I'm aware of) between the 01-32V and the 02-32V is 02 was the first year of the bedroom slide and a slightly improved 4R100 transmission.

We have an '02 Brave 32V and love it. Only problem we have ever had was the Ford rough ride.

I have a 03 Suncruiser on a Workhorse chassis. I have never had a problem with the chassis or brakes. The key is routine maintenance. I love the 8.1 big block and Allison transmission. The advantage of the bigger displacement engine makes the world of difference in engine noise in the cab, as the Ford v10 has to really wind to make the horsepower. Winnie does a great job of building a solid motorhome. You will be happy with either one.

We are happy with ours, no major problems, but then we are not the original owner, nor will you be.

I did a lot of research on the Adventurer/ Suncruiser models and frequented a lot of forums and came to the conclusion that the Workhorse chassis and drivetrain is superior to the Ford in terms of ride and overall quality. I knew I wanted the 22.5 wheels over the 19.5. We happened to find an '04 that met all of our criteria and we couldn't be happier! The 35u floorplan with 2 slides is great. The best part of the WH is the 5 speed Allison tranny. Extremely smooth shifting and they are bulletproof in terms of longevity. Good luck in your shopping and let us know how it's going.
