2004 Vectra slide wipe seal replacement
Some of the wipe seals on my 2004 Vectra are tore and need replaced. I have tried to remove the vertical wipe seal on the forward slide on the driver side. I removed the outer seal cover and removed the screws that hold the white track. But I cannot get the white track to budge that seems to hold the seal in its track. . The slide is half way out, so no pressure on the seal bulb. Could anyone help direct me in how to remove the seal? I attached a couple of pictures of the white track and the replacement seal.

I’ve answered my own question. All you need to do is remove the outer seal cover then simply pull the old seal out toward you. It will pull out rather easily. No need to remove the screws from the white track. After cutting the new seal to proper length, start at the top and push the seal in so the ‘T’ on the back of the seal goes into the white track. Only the inter side of the T will go into the track. I used a plastic chisel ‘sanded blunt and no sharp edges’ to push the seal into the track. Made it a lot easier. Replace the outer seal cover and check to make sure it’s working. Oh, the wiper part of the seal goes toward the inter side.

Good job figuring it out! Where did you buy the new seal?

I purchased it through Winnebago. The part number was 136978-01-01A.
Contact [email protected] or 641-585-6395 and have your VIN, Serial Number available. Pictures may also help. The seals are sold by the foot. Hope this helps.

I have a 2006 Itasca Ellipse 36RD. I ordered the seal, however what I got had two wipers. Other than that identical.
Did you put a screw through the wiper just at the top to hold it in place? I looked at the schematic and it had a screw going through at the top.

From what I recall there was a screw at the top. There is no hole in the rubber. Just have to push it through and then screw it in. It’s been a year now and seems to be working great. I still have to use my awning rod to pull out the wiper when I pull out the slide. Sometimes it does not position correctly. I also changed out the seals on my bedroom slide. It still leaks when slide is extended. Still need to solve that. Fix now is to close the slide when raining.

I doubt very much that Winnebago manufactured the seals; probably bulk purchased from an OEM supplier.
Think what you need to do is carefully measure your existing seal and then shop around. There are listings on Amazon, and OEM shops like this have quite the selection:

Might even consider contacting them with your part # and perhaps they can match it from their records.
Good luck and keep us updated on your search for a replacement.

I have the same issue and it's apparently because Winnebago installs these seals inconsistently. On one side of our slide, the side seal is glued to the outside of the top seal, which works fine. On the other side, it's glued to the inside of the top seal, which causes it to invert. Short of replacing all three seals, there's no way to fix this. Fortunately, I haven't seen any leaks yet.
