2005 Journey 39k bedroom slide leaking

Well, this looked harder than it really is. I finally found a HWH/Winnebago document on how to replace the cylinder. I have uploaded the part about changing cylinder. It all worked pretty well until I tried to slide the cylinder out of the square tube. So, with that said, I would suggest you remove the two cap end bolts and loosen the rod end bolt. Use the system to retract the room where the cylinder pulls itself out of the tube. Now all you have to do is remove the rod end bold and slide the cylinder out unhooking the lines as you go. Word of caution, the lines may contain high pressure. Repeat the process in reverse to reinstall.

DaveFL, thank you for posting that instruction doc. I have the identical setup you do on our 04 Journey 39K. So far, no issues in that department, but at 20 yrs of age and 140k+ mi, I hold my breath a lot.

I second that thank for the post. I have an 2001 and not 100% sure i have he same set up, but i have looked at the bedroom slide set up trying to figure out the access if I ever have and issue an this may help me figure it out. I do not have an issue now, but if i have a plan, i hope to never need it.

Thank you for the post. May I ask where you found it? I would like to see if these will work for my rig also. 2005 Adventurer 38R.
