We have a 2007 Tour but a 40TD and love it. Also have the 400 HP engine.

As ours has over 30K miles, the only major things that have gone wrong:
- serpentine belt snapped at 14K
- alternator froze and snapped a second belt (ALWAYS carry a spare)
- exhaust manifold gasket blew

All were replaced under warranty by Freightliner.

See if the seller has the maintenance records.

Get an extended warranty. You will need it regardless of what you buy. Also make sure the dealer is going to make sure everything works. Good Luck.

Yes, thank you, I asked for an extended warranty as part of the deal.

One other thing is my chassis had a fuel tank 'recall' because the tank vent was in the wrong spot and would not let you fill it all the way up. I called Freightliner (after learning of the solution on this forum!) and they replaced the tank for free. Not sure if the 36-footer had the same problem.

Check for any signs of water intrusion (leaks) especially around the bedroom slide. Get up on the roof and look at the caulking. Inspect the rain gutters that run along the sides and determine it's condition.
