I was able to vist and stay awhile with our soon to be 39W and I was looking at the LR Tv trying to figure out how to hook two HDMI cables to the back. I cannot figure out how to get to the back of the Tv.
There appears to be 4 bolts that go from underneath up through the Tv stand, but I'm afraid that removing them I will not be able to hold the top part to get the bold started. My arms and hands are to big.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Sorry...I have no experience with this sort of arrangement. I can't imagine them installing a TV in a way that you can't access any of the ports unless there's a patch panel some place. Have you called your dealer or Winnebago?

Wayne M..
I am going to suggest you call Winnebago. You can find the contact info at this link... I am sure they are as helpful as the techs at Monaco have been anytime I have called Monaco Tech Support.
Good Luck & may I suggest post what you do find out?

MM,
I spent an hour on the phone with Brian, a technician at Winnebago. He pulled up the schematic for the coach, directed me to the schematic and we walked through it. It was even suggested that there is an access hole in the back wall, but unfortunately the shower stall is up against it and I refuse to pull the shower to access it. There were several references to bolts and clips, but he could not shed any light on how to remove it.
I was really hoping that someone on the forum had tackled that job. I would like to get to all the component video, 2 HDMI, and all the other inputs and outputs ONE time to feed all wires to a point that I can access. Satellite output is component (better than RF)and Blue Ray is HDMI.
Present DISH Satellite receiver outputs via component video to TV one in HDef and RF to tv 2 with no HDef. I presently have to use the output 2 (RF) and loose functionality of the Satellite receiver. Blue Ray would be a total lose if I could not use HDMI.
First time I called Winnebago was August and was of no help at all. This time was 4 or 5 days ago and Brian was trying, but just could not come up with a sure way.
It appears that there are 4 bolts on the under side of the shelf that the tv sits on. They are connected to a channel iron going around the sides and top of the tv. There are clips on the channel iron to keep the tv from moving forward and backward. It is not known if the bolts have to be removed all the way, just loosened, how the clips would be removed and reinstalled, etc.
Kind of lengthy reply, but yep, been there done that and I will not bump this up again. Just will wait and see if anyone has an answer.
Thanks.
Edited: p.s., the tv weighs 117 pounds. Not something to have fall out if not handled correctly.
If I find out how it is done, I sure will post it with pictures.

We also have a 39W. Shortly after picking up our coach, we found out the inputs to the TV were switched, so had to get to the back of it. Goodness me! My arm would fit, but I have no manual dexterity, hubby's arm wouldn't fit.
I'm looking forward to your pictures! We have just decided to swap out the TV for a non-CRT one, so will redo the connections while the TV is out.

Hubby just pointed out I left out a very important piece of info: We accessed the back of the TV by removing the electrical panel.

WayneM....thanks for the tip about the 117 lb TV. I didn't imagine it weighed that much!
The right side of mine dropped about an inch thanks to the roads coming to Texas so I have to fix the mounting before heading home in April. If I can be civil after fixing mine and getting the cable connections right, I'll post my experience.

rca you may want to talk to Winnie about this we has the same thing happen. There is s TSB about this where supports were missing or out of place. Our's came aprt the same way over the summer. Our rig was still under warranty, but it was a fairly large repair process seeing the TV is quite heavy

When you get your unit check how the TV and switch box are hooked up. Our TV came with Digital and both HDMI channels in it and we can plug out blue ray into the switch box which controls sat, tv ant, dvd, etc. If yours has this there is no need to directly hook to the tv.

The switch box does not have any other hookups other than RF.
My son will be home from Iraq after 5-1/2 long years. He is a civilian, Operations Manger for Agility Logistics, Iraq and we are impatiently waiting for the 6th of January. I'll let him handle the 117 pounds and we will give it a try. I'll take pictures for sure.
