2008 Winnebago 39W DP

I just traded in my Fleetwood 35' Southwind, and take delivery on my Winnebago Destination This Friday 1-15-2016.
I was interested on things I should be aware of with my Winn. DP. I have never owned a DP, always have had gas.
Any info. I can get would be good.
Thanks

Congrads !

Run the air conditioner with the generator running, you should see 24-26 amp draw if both compressors are running.

If your new-to-you Destination is a DP (not on the Workhorse UFO gas pusher), then your chassis is a Freightliner with a Cummins engine. Here on iRV2.com we have specialty forums for both FCCC and Cummins.

You got a lot of learning to do.

Good luck.

Congratulations, you will most likely get more response than you need. We had 3 gassers and now the DP; don't know if I could go back just yet, I enjoy the ride, handling and the storage and room but there are more upkeep expenses to a diesel. Good luck, and enjoy!

Check for rust on the inner storage compartments and inside where the metal floors are, check for clear coat flaking on the front cap and along the roof curve from front to back, and on all painted surfaces that face up. Check the interior headliner for sagging. Check for a leaking windshield. Make sure the recalls were done on the norcold refrig.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far.
This is my 4Th. day with the DP and no problems yet, my only problem is trying to figure out all the different switches and panels. It seems like every time I do something I learn something new..
Today we will be moving to Big Cypress RV so I am sure I will come across more .
