Exclamation 2008 Winnebago Destination 39' diesel

Hi there - looking for help as our slideouts wont extend - batteries are new and fully charged. We've been checking fuses but the locations of these are difficult to find. Any suggestions pls?

I am sure someone with way more direct knowledge will come on and help. As its strange for both to stop working. I would think a common denominator is the problem.

Have the slides worked in the past?

Do you have the emergency / parking brake on/

Sometimes the motor needs to be running.

Sorry not more help.

Hi there - yes to all of your questions! At the driver's seat the light indicates the parking brake is engaged, but at the control panel the braking light flickers as if it's truing to communicate.

If you have a HWH slide room extension system this will be of great help:

One quick question, can you hear your hydraulic pump running when you try to extend the slides or or the levelers? My system is an HWH and it has a 40 amp fuse at the pump that has failed a couple of times. If not, that may be the problem. I am currently replacing mine with a quality circuit breaker.

Is it the 39W. That was my previous MH.
In the slide-out bay on the ceiling is the computer controller. It should be blinking lights. Push and hold the button for 6 blinks then let go. Count the number of blinks and check.

I found it easier to take a picture of the controller to be able to read the error codes.
Once those lights are blinking you have overridden all safety for the slide out. You should be able to go in and operate the slide-out extend/retract button. Make darn sure nothing is in the way and if only ONE side starts moving in/out stop and revers direction to a full open/close. Hold the button for a minimum of 5 seconds to allow the motors to sync.

If only on side moves you most likely have a bad motor. I had two replaced on mine.

Here is the Master Owner's Manual for slideouts.

p.s., I have all the manuals for that model. If you want/need them you can have them. Pick-up only, Texas City Tx. To heavy to mail.
