2010 Winnebago Journey 40L

Just purchased 2010 Winnebago Journey 40L with 1000 miles on Coach, has every bell and whistle that Winnebago has to offer . However noticed that Generator had 39 hours on it when I took delivery . Any idea on whats the Oil change interval on this, I ask dealer to change the oil and filter , Onan Diesel , I felt 39 hours on it, the oil needed to be changed, coach was used at RV shows here in florida ...

I just want to take care of the it, this was a life long dream come true...

Thank you

Can't help with the Gennie issue, but congrats on the new coach, that is a nice floor plan.

My 7.5 Onan says first change at 50 hrs, then regular interval of 150hr. .ore extensive service every 500 hour.

Same here for my 8.0KW. Changing a bit early wouldn't be a bad thing. The OEM oil filter is smaller than the replacement part, so it would seem that it is intended for a shorter life span.

I would hope that with a new coach, you got all the manuals with it. Onan has a complete service schedule in the manual. If you didn't get the Onan manual, down load it from the Onan website.

First, thank you to all whom have responded. What a wealth of knowledge from a great group!. The vehicle did come with all the manuals etc., in fact if came with a "brief case full" I was just sitting in the back of my home looking at the coach and taking in it was mine, and yes running the generator when I notice the hours. I had a 5th wheel with 30 amp service in my parking area and Im upgrading it to 50 amp Service for the coach.

I think a coach with a 1000 mile should not have a gen set with 39 hours on it from a RV show, I think the Dealer should have considered that before delivering it, with that said they agreed to change the oil and filter which I thought was more than fair when I return from my shake down cruise next week..

Once again thank you to all who responded !!!
