2016 Vista LX 30T Awning Issues

Has anyone had any awning issues. Mine continues to roll but not come out. Have to pull the left then the right and it finally will come out. Even with the slides outs in. I have had it back to Camping World several times and taking back again this morning. They have replaced the arms, but that did not seem to work. Very frustrating. This is a brand new RV so know it should work correctly.

ttestino48 sounds like the arms are out of square and they are being pinched together when the awning is retracted. Do a visual check of the arms just before they come together, the arms should align with the channels on the motorhome.

We had a similar issue. What we do is tap the awning extend button a few times before holding it down and that does the trick for us.

I have the same problem with mine. Dealer "fixed" it under warranty, but still same problem. Really, there should be some mechanism that gives the awning that initial push away from the wall. A gentle tug on one of the arms is enough to get mine going.

Awning

Took it to camping world yesterday and they talked to the vendor. Evidently is a problem they are aware about. They ask the service guys to put these rubber type blocks in the arms themselves near the bend in the arms. This will supposedly give a push when you extend the arm. Of course they were out so are on order. Will be curious if this resolves the issue and will post when I get them installed.

My 2015 Vista 30T has the same problem when it has not been extended for a long period of time.

I have been using my awning a lot this week. I have found that if I release the power switch just before completion and let it roll up in place, I have no problems with the extension next time.
