After the two nights here locally going to Las Vegas in late March and then in late April starting the long trip...Back to Michigan to see my Son and grands. Planning on taking northern route there and return via southern route...Will be about 6000 miles and 2 months on the road!

Have you experienced the center council bounce and rattle described by YGoHom? Wow, it is scary..when in route to my weigh in hit a washboard type section of interstate highway and could not believe my eyes...looked like it was bouncing an inch or more and the rattle was very loud..hope we can work together to try to figure a way to better secure this section of RV.

new radio with Apple CarPlay for the wife, a long with some rear facing speakers placed up front. The current speakers aren't so great, as you know.
At this time I will figure out how to properly secure that damn center pod so it doesn't keep trying to break itself apart bouncing down the road.

I was actually going to try to move the speakers behind the cab seats forward but remain on the sidewalls..to me this is the location they should have been mounted all along...the road noise will be less and allow volume to be reduced.

I would also like to add some type of lighting to the cab area...other than the instrument cluster glow there is nothing up front...any ideas on that would be appreciated.

The console was on my list of things for the dealer to fix before taking delivery. They took it apart and apparently shoved a piece of foam in there to dampen it. I'm sure I can do better.

For cab lighting I added a push on/off light just above each side window, under the storage bins. They stick on with velcro and work great.
Having removed the upper bunk, I also have the ability to use the factory light above the passenger seat. That thing really lights up the front.

I'm glad to hear you got it. We spoke on the phone before your purchase. I hope you are enjoying it!

It would be nice to post pictures here, but it looks like the pics must be hosted somewhere else, rather than uploading from my computer or cell phone. Am I missing something?

Hey @ygohom, that took me a hot minute to figure out too. If you look at the bottom left of the thread, you see a black button for Post Reply. It's right under the last post in the thread. If you hit that, it opens a reply window where you can attach pics just like in an email or word doc. The Quick Reply feature just wants you to hyperlink everything. Hope that helps!

I think I see what you're saying about welding an extra tray. I was thinking about stealing some of the storage space aft of the existing battery tray (the bin that has the house cut off switch), but I'll take it out for a few trips first to see if I really need it. Some videos I've watch say the fridge will run for up to 30 hours on the batteries before they run out of juice. Not sure what else was on and running during that stress test though.

@feiter I've definitely seen the lively dance that center console gets into...I live in Louisiana and it's tough to build smooth roads on swamp! It's freaky how much action is involved with that console. I gotta think it's because there isn't an anchor point below for it...the removable engine cover. I gotta think there is a way to get it to settle down. Just haven't started in on it yet.

I'm looking at adding these to the cab area and tying them in to the instrument cluster power.

Let's give it a shot. Here's a picture of the door bars. I was able to get several fat self tapping screws into the metal frame for stability.

It worked! Thanks for the help.

I forgot to mention the stairs. They really creaked and sounded cheap because of the latches. I took them off and put some felt to soften the blow of slamming shut. My dog was afraid of the slippery steps, so I got some stair tread pieces from Lowe's to put on.

Here's the backsplash in the kitchen and bath. Also the shower curtain.
Next is the over head shelf up front.

I'm intrigued by these lights. I see you found them on Amazon, what are they called?

If you can't do it by editing your original post, you may have to ask a site moderator.
