Broken jack spring 2011 Vista 36D
Hi, DH called me today and said he found a broken spring on the ground behind the front drivers wheel. It appears to be the rear spring on the front leveling jack. It looks like it broke in half. Does anyone know what is involved in replacing this? Will the jack come up with one spring? I would assume the jack would need to be retracted to replace the spring. Also, where do I get one?

Assuming this is a HWH leveling system, new springs are widely available, BUT they must be the correct length, outside diameter, and number of coils. Those facts will allow you to buy the correct replacements.
HWH spring chart: https://www.hwhcorp.com/mr475000.pdf
The jack may be pried up with long-handle shovel and a block of wood for a fulcrum; the control panel must show storing the jacks light.
The procedure for replacing a spring is explained in several utube videos.

Is this information in the manuals anywhere? Or do I have to measure the springs or something?

Let's look at your Operator's Manual since we can't look at the panel inside your coach.
It appears to be a HWH system.
Here's a photo from your Operator's Manual that shows the control panel stating that it's an HWH system:

You must measure and count coils on the old springs. Do not replace 1, replace both on that jack.
Old springs are square ends, new springs are tapered ends.

I used old fashion wooden clothes pins for the wedge shaped spacers. Just take the clothes pins apart and they work just as well and easy to do.
Good luck,
Bill
