Changing a flat tire -Vista 32YE
Can't imagine having to change a tire especially the rear inside tire.
The MH came with a BAL 209010 RV Stabilizer Bar so is this used to change a tire?

my vista did not come with a spare and no jack. for me it's a service call no matter what. those pics look like something to hold up or stabilize a camper when parked.

Same as I was thinking but didn't understand why original owner included this equipment.

I think those are used on travel trailer and fifth Wheel trailer stabilizer jacks to limit movement inside the RV when parked. I don’t believe they have anything to do with changing a tire. And really neither should you when it come to a Class A motorhome.
Who knows why previous owners do the things they do???

Thank you for the clarification. Those are some heavy duty stabilizer bars to wrestle under a trailer.

My monster has 22.5 wheels on it. I have wrestled with those before on a dump truck we own. Now I call road service. Interestingly enough my rig came with a portable bead breaker. I promptly put it in the shop for posterity. My wheel and tire assembly weigh north of 160#.

I think those either go under front or backend or under a slide out on the outside edge to keep it from rocking, so you don't go under the RV. There are convos on those being good or bad because the RV is going to move in the wind and those don't allow it to move. when I was new, I bought things, I don't use so someone may have sold a newbie something. I am fully experienced after two seasons now. LOL

Yeah I contacted BAL company and they (John) promptly replied back that the 29010 is a stabilizer and not intended to lift/level the rear end of my MH. It is meant to add outboard stability.
The product is old and no manual is available so he provided detailed instructions and a sketch.
I don't need it as my automatic leveling system works well. But at least I now know what the contraption is used for.
Btw BAL does have a large product line of attachable scissor jacks and othe types of leveling systems.
Appreciate everyone's helpful input.

I’ll call BCAA first but
I have a spare and carry a 24” breaker bar, sockets for the beauty rims and wheels, a 1/2” extension, a piece of wood with holes a different heights to hold the end of the extension while undoing the wheel nuts, a puncture repair kit (last resort) and a high output air pump.
I don’t plan on using these and I’ll call for service first. But, a few of the places we go are 30 minutes to two hours down gravel roads. I’ve grappled with dumping the spare and gaining the extra space. But my final decisions came down to this. If I dump the 200lbs of spare my wife will add 300lbs of stuff.

extra 300 lbs
Oh my! 300 at least. Being new to the MH glamping travel I'm learning how about loads and how equally distributed factors into safe handling.

I carry a simple tire repair kit and an air compressor.
Repairing a flat almost never requires the wheel removal. I have fixed literally hundreds of flat tires in my shop without having to remove the wheel.
On my MH, I roll the vehicle to make removing the road debris easier, then fix with a tire repair kit and inflate. No need to wait for service help.
The entire job takes less than 1/2 hour and no need for a jack.

A search for what the item does leads to this info:
https://balrvproducts.com/product/lock-arm/
Why was it left? Likely to get rid of something that no longer had a use with them!
