Driving in the mountains 2017 Forza Class A

use cruise or not

I don't use cruise, it speeds up too much when it shouldn't and wastes gas. I do the same in hills, it just downshifts and revs up when it should just take it easy. I'll even take it out of cruise on a highway with a lot of steep overpasses. Everyone is different but I do the same in my car.

You didn't ask, but on long, uphill highway grades like we have driving from CA into OR, I like to tuck in behind a big rig and just take my time. Your transmission will thank you.

I use cruise control in my Class A whenever it makes sense. Up and down mountains is not one of those times. But driving in the vicinity of mountains is a different story. Logic dictates.
