Freezing temperatures in 2004 Ultimate Advantage 40K

I've tried to read through the comments about cold weather camping.
Is there anyone who can tell me about my specific coach?

2004 Winne Ultimate Advantage 40K.
I may be in Knoxville from October - January

How well is it protected from 20 degree temps and what areas to focus on when it gets that cold?

also, I read something (then lost it) about a fixture for the LP to hook up an outside tank like a 30 or 100gal tank?

No experience with that RV but the item for propane may be "Extend-a stay"
A couple videos to get different looks?

Well, mine is a 2000; the Ultimates are insulated very well. The holding tanks are enclosed and heated by the rear LP furnace. All plumbing lines are inside the coach. There is another floor under the floor you walk on, between them is the plumbing lines.
The main concern is the wet-bay, which is unheated as far as I know,, but I always operate the MH self-contained during freezing weather so there is no city water hose or sewer hose or valves to freeze.
Your main heat-loss area is the windshield and windows, plan now what you will insulate them with; aluminum-faced bubble wrap works good. I bought a left-over 8' wide end roll from a pole-building builder for about $20.

You are right to be thinking about an external LP tank, as both LP furnaces burn LP pretty-quickly.
If you will be in that same place for 4 months I would contact an LP business and request they set a 250G tank, then have that Extend-A-Stay(not very expensive on ebay) hose ready for them to attach their tank to your MH. You might want to have the Extend a Stay already installed at home.

Winter camping

The extend a stay is easy to have installed. You might want to calculate the distance you have to where the tank will sit and get the correct hose length. The more you can use a space type heater(s)the better as you really cut down the moisture from using propane. Safer too. If you leave your steps out watch for ice in the morning when you step outside. Good luck. Travato John

Propane burning does make water, but if it's getting inside the heated space, the heat exchanger is cracked leaking fumes and water vapor into the heated air. That is a life-threatening situation.

Good advice above. We have had our 2003 UA 40K in temps down into the 20's a few times. If the wind is blowing and you have all the slides out, you will use a lot of propane in a hurry. We use one or two of the small electric heaters. Makes a WORLD of difference in propane use. But you need to run the main propane heater some or the basements will freeze.

If you run two of the elec heaters, plug them in on opposite sides of the RV or you will blow the 15a circuit breaker on the bed pedestal.
