Front slide won't move - 2007 Sighteer 35J

Hello everyone new to the site. I have a 07 winnebago sighteer 35j. The front slide won't move the green light on the in and out buttons stays on all the time doesn't blink just on constantly. Has anyone had this problem and what was the fix.

Some questions just to set a base for what might be missing?
Is this an Rv that you know well or a new-to-you as something simple might be missed on setting up. Things like getting the correct brake set, jacks right, etc. can mess with the program and more likely to happen when we are just getting used to the new RV!
Maybe a check of the manual if that is a possibility?

Moving beyond that, do you know where the "slide control module" is located? Lights on that may help to point to problems or show if it is an electrical problem?

We've had the rv for five years. The slide was working fine when I took it to the storage lot. No I don't know where the slide control module is at but I will find out. Thanks for your help

Looking further? I see this looks a bit different than expected as it uses a different system with an item called a Digisync? I did a search for that and found this info:
https://store.lci1.com/control-box-f...de-386410.html

NOT saying that is the problem so don't look at the price! Just saying this might be what you have instead of the control I was expecting! This support page might be a good place to get more info:
https://support.lci1.com/

I also did a dig on where this might be found on this drawing. Click this snip for a better view or go direct to the drawing? Maybe a help to locate at least!

https://www.winnebago.com/Files/File...ire_159696.pdf

Looking at the parts catalog here:
https://www.winnebago.com/Files/File...07/7wfd35j.pdf

Page 114 has a drawing of parts of the left front slide and it seems to show motors which would be controlled by the Digisync as well as mention of a crank!

If you have the crank, it appears one can move the slide out to access the motors underneath if you get to that point?? Guessing and a check of the book might lead to more info on exactly how!

Slide not working

If you are sure the emergency brake. Is pushed down good and and the engine is running, then you might have lost the ground connection. That was my problem with my digisync system. I ended up running an external ground, and that fixed it.

Here's the manual for the Digisync slide system:

https://lci-support-doc.s3.amazonaws...3010000798.pdf

I did some looking for similar failures and I found an interesting comment from the manufacturer. They said, if the RV is or has been in storage and the slide out will not extend that 90% of the time it is weak Chassis battery. They further said that just starting the coach will not provide enough help to the batteries to overcome this issue. The fix was to plug into shore power or run the generator as well as starting the coach.

Check this video. At around 7:40 they start talking about their Kwikee FLS Digisync slide not working. They manually extend it with cranks. They go on to break a plastic nut and need to get that fixed. Then at 13:15 he discovers that the issue is his Chassis battery is too weak.

Here's a link to more info on the Kwikee Digisync slide:

If you can get to the modlule to find wiring to check, this may help as it gives the Code printed on each wire or possible to find labels on the module?
This is the chart to decode the wire labels.
https://www.winnebago.com/Files/File...ical_guide.pdf

A a snip of the wiring "from" and "to" locations? A bit of guessing but I might "assume" the positive is meant to be positive battery and the negative ground?
But those are guesses and need verified before trusting!!!

If it is true that neither rear nor front ram are moving, I might want to check that the module is actually getting battery and ground as that would be a fault common to both rams motors. Possible chasing an open on one or the other is needed???

We can feed ideas your way but stand by while you do the real work!!

Does a special crank come with these winni motorhomes for moving the slides manually? I don't have a crank and I'm trying to prepare how to access and go manual with the right tools now while things are working so I'm prepared for the future failure. I'm in a 2012 Sightseer 33c with 3 slides.

The vast majority do not utilize a crank, so not having a crank is not an issue. There were a few systems available some years that had those kinds of cranks. But it's not common on most slide systems.

What you do have is an Operator's Manual, and documentation that tells you how to manually extend/retract your slides. And you should become familiar with your brand/style of slide and the info the manufacturer puts out on this and other maintenance subjects.

It's best to be proactive and discover all of this now when the slides are working normally. Not some morning when you are trying to leave a campground for a new locale.

My 2009 35J has a manual crank option. The crank rods hang on the inside wall of the storage bays on the driver side slide. There are covers over the ends of slide rails that have to be removed to expose the rail end where the cranks can be inserted.

I've never had to use mine and hope I never do. I expect it would take several minutes of vigorous work to get a slide moved all the way in or out.
