Journey Powered Entry Awning?

Hi All,

We have a 2007 Journey 39K. The awning over the door is not powered, it is manual, but is seems like it may be wired for one.

For those of you with similar era rigs, is yours powered? I am wondering if perhaps it originally had one and someone replaced it.

We have the same switch setup, and I can hear the relay in the storage compartment electronics click when operating the switch, but the awning itself is not powered.

Safe to assume the wiring is in place? I can certainly take my current one of to confirm but curious if is was standard equipment at some point.

Skeggo-

According to the brochures (links here and here), the electric awning package and entry door awning that were standard on the 2006 39K became optional on the 2007 39K.

If you call Winnebago customer support, with your coach's serial number (or VIN) in hand, they should be able to send you a copy of the coach's build sheet. That will show you what options were installed.

The wiring diagram (link here), sheet 6, zone A-4, shows the connector that feeds the awning motors. If you can get to the connector, it should reveal whether or not it's wired and powered for the awnings.

All wiring diagrams for your coach are here.

My 2005 Itasca Awning has a crank and the loop on the awning, but it is also electric.
I bought in 09, it did not work on electric. I disassembled and removed the died/caked grease, regreased. It works fine now.

The motor sits in the cover such that it gets wet and rusts. After cleaning, I drilled a drain hole in the plastic cover.
