Keyless entry on a '13 Tour???

Has anyone seen the keyless entry keypad on the outside grab bar of the Grand Tour or Ellipse Ultra and wonder if it could be easily fitted to their Tour/Ellipse?

I am always thinking about 10 upgraded before I complete 2.

Thanks

Does the '13 Tour have power locks with a remote? So you would only be adding the keypad part?

Not sure what Winnebago uses, but there's a few companies making systems:

Essex

Trimark

I added a complete system to mine: Keyless DIY

(Not for the faint if heart, but it was free.)

Yes, you can buy the keypad and wire harness from Trimark industries. It is a simple plug and play from the keypad to controller. The controller is located to the left of the steering column on the floor in front of your left foot. The hard part is running the wire.

I think I might just add the keypad. Looks easier and if it truly is plug n play it couldn't be too hard to route the cable and drill a hole.

Thanks

Hey tnteacherguy,
Do you ever get back to Tennessee? I would be glad to help you with the installation, or at least show you what you are in for. I installed all the compartment locks and remote switch. Plus I added a light to my grab bar. Let me know how I can help. (No charge.)

I only spend about 6 nights a year in Nashville. I might spend the month of September in Pigeon Forge this year. DW and I are full time and we chase "perfect weather".

I'm pretty confident in my skills, especially since it sounds like plug and play. I don't mind drilling a hole if needed.

FYI, I've replaced my outside light with a motion sensor activated light so I'm not worried about being able to see the keypad. It was less than $50 but the brand escapes me right now.

But, thanks for the offer.

Too funny. We go to Pigeon Forge every September except this year. We are going to Alaska. See you down the road but feel free to pm with any questions.

We will also be in PF the month of May as our oldest will be graduating from UT (1 down, 1 to go). The 2nd and final child goes to school in FL and is much easy to visit any time from Nov-Apr.
