Meridian 36G Electric Sun Visor
We have a 2005 36G that has an issue with the passenger side visor.
I found a thread for a couple of years ago that talks about 2 buttons (black and Yellow) on the ends to use to set the range. Our's doesn't have buttons on either end.
It will go all the way down, partially up and then if you help it manually it will go a little farther, but still be 1/4-1/3 extended.
There is no labeling of manufacturer that I can see and in going to Carefree's site I don't see any style that near to being the same.
Any thoughts?
thanks for your input

Here's a thread for reference with some pictures: Electric shades
If you don't see the buttons on yours can you take a close-up picture of the end of your shade? Can you unscrew the 4 small mounting screws so that you can lower the shade (with the wires still attached) to take a closer look at the end for buttons and/or a label? There has to be a way to adjust the end points of its travel.

Chris,
Thanks.
I has already seen that thread and that was what got me working on this.
I will take it down and send pictures.

Jeff, looking at your picture in the thread linked above I see a small red spot on the left-hand side end of the shade. Is there any chance that that's a button?

Jeff,
I don't see a picture attached. I am new to the forum, and not exactly a real technophobe, so I may be missing something. How do I see it?
Thanks

Jeff, looking further at your picture it looks like there is a little metal piece (slightly gray/green compared to the rest of the shade) that pivots in the middle. Could this rock back and forth to push on the gray 'buttons', one seems marked in red, the other white? Perhaps it's just a mounting bracket and I'm just imagining things, but maybe?

somehow the day got away, I'll try tomorrow. If there was a button to push, I would have. I'll in-mount it too. I think last time I did the wires were cinched in the cabinet.
Film at 11 (10 Central)..

I think you've got two digits swapped there--I'm sure it should be: Winnebago Part Number " 142380-01-01A Shade-Power, 25.8” x 19”. That's what's called out in the 2005 Meridian 36G Parts Catalog for your coach and it's also exactly the same part number listed for my 2005 Vectra 36RD (the one with the yellow and black buttons as pictured in the linked thread).
The Winnebago Parts & Accessories Catalog lists that as " Motorized Flexi-Visor FLX-660". The manufacturer is AutoMotionShade and here's a link to their current page for that product: Motorized Flexi-Visor FLX-660.
I would recommend contacting the manufacturer and asking how one sets the limits in the absence of the yellow and black buttons.

I contacted AutoMotion and this was their reply:
"Please be advise that shades build before 2005 have motors with yellow/ black adjustment , and your shade have different type of motor which is discontinued and we do not carry any more since 2006-2007.
I have to check my old files if I do have any information how to adjust your motor.
I need to know if you can operate the shade , only you do have problems with the limits?"
I sent them more info and will update when I hear back.
thanks for your input
Bernie

Here's my shade. The buttons are there but they are extremely difficult to get to. Neither pushes, yet

So.... These actually might not be buttons, but slotted cam adjustment. Each of Therese "buttons" have slotted screwdriver cuts on the top, and it LOOKS like this turns a ratchet type doo-dad to set the position. Well Winnebago in their infinite wisdom SUPERGLUED both of these buttons/ shafts to the frame, and it's everywhere. I'll go yo the hobby shop and get some CA remover and see if I can't break something loose before breaking it entirely

Mine are glued shut :(
Some day I may try CA solvent from my R/C helicopter kit, but in the meantime I drilled out enough rivets to rotate the entire assembly 1/2turn, and that was just enough. I've gotten more use out of my rivet gun in the last two weeks than the last 10 years
