Mirror mounted turn signal wiring
I'm stumped as to how the mirror turn signal lights are wired in my '04 Journey. I undertook the project of replacing all exterior lights with LEDs and discovered that the lights under the mirror arms were not just decorative but full of water, and they had never worked while I owned the coach. I found replacements and still have nothing on the driver's side. For reference, the front right side marker light changes from steady to flashing when the directional is on. The mirror light only turns on during directional use. Both of these are not in sync with the headlamp amber bulb, and this all seems ok. Same for the left side except no voltage to the mirror arm wires. Adhering to Wire Fault Trouble Shooting Rule #2 (check both ends before you check the middle), I located my flasher behind the panel in the utility bay behind the rear axel. The top fuse enclosure had an empty slot for what was labeled LTURN, so i placed a 20 amp fuse in it. The result was that the flasher stopped flashing, leaving all of the lamps lit solidly, but not blowing a fuse. I want to fix it right, but the Winnebago wiring diagrams seem to omit these lights. So my next solution would be to reroute the mirror wire to the marker light 2+ feet away and be done with it. So my two questions are;
1. Does anyone know where the wiring to the left mirror bulb goes (under the driver's side interior panel with the cup holder and switches or somewhere else) and
2. Since there is no fuse in the rear bay for left side directionals, yet all others work, is there a second voltage supply location that provides this power to the flasher. Thanks for any insight that anyone can offer.
