New 2014 winnie 35f outside pull

Just traded in my 97 brave on a new vista 35F and it appeared as though the outside assist pull lighted up but the dealer says it does not. Has any body experienced this or are they right?

It looks like it would, but does not. I thought the same thing at 1st. Too bad, that would be cool.

mr snivels,
I just purchased an led on ebay, drilled a hole through the wall to get power, and installed light in top handle. I may have some photos if interested.

I cannot find my photos but here is the LED I purchased:
LED Lighted Assist Grab Handle Replacement Bulb Illumagrip RV camper Trailer | eBay

In my case, when I took off the grab handle the plastic would not separate from the metal end. I merely used a long 1/4 inch drill bit to drill a hole from the side of the motorhome into the inside of the cabinet on the other side of the wall. (I had to drill at a 45 degree angle because the cabinet was back about 6 inches. I was able to access the inside of the cabinet by taking out all the 12 volt buttons just to the left as you enter the motorhome. I merely pushed the LED down the inside of the metal grab handle and fed the wires to the inside of the cabinet. I then found the switch that turned on the outside light and tapped in to it for my power source. (I have hear about other people dropping the line down to the little light under the motorhome steps.) Now whenever the side light is on, the grab handle is on. Really cool.
Let me know if this helps.

To answer your question NO is does not light up. As others have stated you may be able to make it light up but it does not come that way. You have to spend another $300K to get that option.

I have the 2013 35F Sunstar and it is the same way. After checking it was made to look that way.
