New Toad in the house! 2024 Nautilus Hybrid

We bought a new daily driver that we could also use for a Toad. We had a 2016 Lincoln MKX as a toad for 8-years and it was a very reliable car and we enjoyed owning it but it was time to replace it.

We did a bunch of research and found out the a 2024 Lincoln Nautilus Hybrid is also flat-towable. (NOTE: ONLY the hybrid) Like our 2016 (Nautilus replaced the MKX in the linup a few years ago) it has a bog simple "neutral tow mode" that you simply activate from the touch screen.

All that's great - but the 2024 Nautilus has also seen a massive redesign with some fantastic tech. It's really a WOW car with, get this, a 48" dashboard full width screen!

As a new car it took awhile before the baseplate companies put out new model baseplates for the car and we had to wait nearly 3-months for ours to arrive. It was installed last week and we head out on Labor Day for our first trip with the new Lincoln.

PS. The new Lincoln weighs ~4,500lbs and the previous MKX weighed 4,400lbs.

Here's the post baseplate install at the front of the car:

Nice and congrats! Vehicles keep getting smarter, can't say the same for me! Send a pic when you're all hooked up, would like to see it...

Yes it does, but…if you don’t buy the most expensive model you would have to pay for a subscription to activate the “BlueCruise” feature. They want $800 for 4-years. They give you 90-days free to try it out. I used it twice in that time and don’t think I’d use it much. So I’m mot buying.
