Oil filter

Can anybody help me on replacing the oil filter on the 8.1 motor. I like to replace it with a Delco I found a PF2232 that so the book says will fit it is a bit longer than the one thats on it dont know who made that one PF454 is a number that is made for it Thanks Ronnie

I did an internet search for "oil filter for gm 8.1" and got a number of hits about which filter to use.

I did the same thing. Still don't know for sure if the one I picked will work till I drain the oil to see if it fits

Don't know about the PF2232, but here are the AC Delco filters that are specified for my 8.1L: PF454 (1/2 Qt), PF1218 (1 Qt), PF932 (2 Qt)

When I had my old coach with the 8.1 I went to NAPA and they gave me the best filter that they sell .No problem cross referencing #.

I have been using a 1 QT Napa oil filter, Part # 1794 on my 2005 Adventure 33V with the 8.1 for years...

I have been using the Napa 1794 filter for about 7 years now on my Itasca Sunrise 32v. Its easier to change than the short filter as it hangs down lower.
