Overhead cabinet door prop rods

Our 2016 Sunova 33c drivers compartment overhead door props only hold about 1/3 open. These are only about 6" tall and house the entertainment center and satellite receiver. Anyone know a fix to hold doors open like cabinets over the couch have.

My old RV had some stamped metal devices that kept the cabinet open, similar to these. I found these with a Google search for "Lid Support".

Stanley makes them too. I actually found one in my junk box, still in it's wrapper, try Lowes or Home Depot.
