Problem with Rubber Eraser Decal Remover

I used a S SATCO rubber wheel to remove graphics from the side of my Itasca. Comes off fast, but left areas of tan residue/staining on the white finish. Did not come off with Acetone. Any suggestions on how to remove it?

Try a small test area with Mineral Spirits. Wait for a day to see if this further damages the area, or if the original finish can withstand that solvent too.

I agree with mineral spirits. You may also try an adhesive remover such as Goo Gone.

Been there, done that. Use 3M adhesive remover and if that doesn’t work, use Graphx off if on fiberglass. Then use a good marine polish wit a buffer.

Goo-gone

Be careful with goo gone. It can remove the finish on you fiberglass. I’ve “been there done that” and learned the hard way.

If the residue is not tacky, a good marine polish and a buffer will do the job.
