Retrofitting powered front shade '16 Vista

Just traded our 2012 Aspect on a 2016 Vista LX 27N.

I am reading that the 2017 Vista has powered front shade replacing the 2016 wrap-around curtain and sun visors.

Question: can the 2017 powered front shade be installed on the 2016 model? Are there after market installations that would be similar?

The 2015 Vista had curtains in the cockpit. We had them replaced by MCD, regular sides and powered front. Costs lots of $$$ but have no regrets at all.

Hey Sue46.... where did you source the front powered shade... Winnebago supplied part? Cost? Self installed?

We scheduled it with MCD in Dallas. They know what they are doing, have a cg for all of us. There is also a guy who will make wood valences to match your MH to cover the shades, more $$ but it looks really nice. He can only do 3 rigs a week so you need to get your appt. early so you are #1-3 in the fifo list. Everyone in our group had him make the valences. He does a good job.

I'll try to post a pic later.

Great to hear! The Adventurers still have curtains on the sides for blackout and I'd love to replace them with MCD's.

MCD is a great company! We go a new shade for our entry door because the original one was awful! I measured the door, and called. The attachment hardware is placed where convenient, not right at the ends. They offer shades and screens together and seperately. Their products act similarly to soft close drawers.
