Room slide issue 2011 Meridian 34Y

My 2011 Itasca Meridian 34Y has 2 Powergear DigiSync room slides that will not retract when fully extended. One is full length slide on drivers side and one is a smaller one passenger side salon area that holds the sofa. The control buttons are at opposite ends of the RV. The error message is the same on both, Fault type: Major. Description: No signal or sensor wire. Probable cause: Bad wire connection or sensor. Possible solutions: Repair bad wire connection or replace motor.
Luckily, I can retract the slide by using the manual override which entrails removing the wall mounted switch plates and pushing and holding the "Set Stops/Clear Fault button on the back side of the switch plate until 2 red lights begin flashing on the front of the plate. Then, by engaging the in and out buttons simultaniously, the slide will retract all the way. Once retracted, I am able to extend the slides by pushing the out button as usual. If I stop the slide at any time before fully extended, I have no problem retracting as normal. If fully extended, I will have to use the manual override method. On my last trip, I always stopped the slide an inch or two before fully extended. This made life easy but I would like to find and fix the problem. How to diagnose this?

Download the service manual for your particular system and follow the troubleshooting tree. To me it sounds like the extend limit switch or wiring is broken.

We had that fault code on our last trip. Before I tried to reset the system by removing the panel, I turned off the coach battery switch. When I turned on the coach battery switch, the slide out panel reset and I was able to bring the slides in.
That was on our last stop on the way home. I have not used the slides since then.

LOG,
Both slides are now working properly. I've been home from my trip for about 10 days and I don't remember if I ever shut off the coach switch since I parked the RV. Maybe I did. But it's been on for several days and I fully extended both slides and they are retract the way they should. Go figure.
