Schwintek lubrication

I have tried to figure out a way to lubricate the coupler and gib on the inside by the half bath. No way to reach this area. Well I used heat shrink to connect 36 “ of the red aerosol can spray tubing together. Used a stiff rod ie: end of fishing rod or wire hanger to support it while reaching in. Held the can on the outside of the flange and sprayed. Worked like a charm. It took me 2 hours to clean the gear racks of some sort of lubricant someone put on them that had a varnish base to it. I still haven’t decided whether or not to lube the gear rack. Some say yes and some say no. Being a mechanical background metal on metal will always wear if not lubricated but in this case it can’t be a product that collects debris.

They recommend a PTFE lubricant and that was the first thing I did after purchase.

Just curious why you don't lube it from the outside like the LCI video?

I did but you don't reach the inside gib from the front side. If you notice he says to repeat on the inside. Worked for me.
