Should my 2011 Winnebago Journey 40U rear view camera tilt?

I have a 2011 Winnebago Journey 40U with a rear view (Voyager VCCS150B) camera that appears from the dash mounted display that it should tilt. The touch screen shows tilt- and tilt+ soft buttons that are enabled with rear/cam1 selected (and disabled when cam2 or cam3 are selected) but neither button seems to cause the image to tilt +/-.

Does you Journey rear view camera tilt?

Jeffrey,
I don't know of any Winnebago product with a rear view camera that will tilt. Some have buttons to increase the amount of "brightness" or "dim" but not an electronic tilt mechanism. You can climb up your ladder and look at the camera but I am confident it will have three bolts on both sides that you would need to loosen in order to "tilt" the camera at a different angle. Maybe others have additional information.
I have heard of other cameras with the ability to tilt up and down but only on a Prevost.

On mine I can tilt the touch screen in or out ,but I don't think the rear camera will move. I will play with it next time to see.

The DW says the rear camera tilt buttons do work on ours.

I believe the tilt was an option offered by some but not all. The options were allowed for on the control panel but you probably do not have it. My camera is positioned so you can see very close to the rear bumper.(I can see the hitch and just beyond my toad) If you feel a need for having the tilt function find out who the manufacture of the system is and see if it is available.

Our screen doesn't move. This is the built in radio in the dash, correct?

Which model rear view camera do you have?

Jeffrey,
Seems me and the wife were talking about opposite ends.
The Monitor tilts - 'eject style' from vertical to horizontal, but the Camera does not - you have to adjust that manually.
Sorry for the confusion.
Bill

My rig is a lot older than yours and doesn't have the "tilt" control, but it's possible you have the same problem we had.

When we first got it (used), the camera gave a good view down the back wall to the back bumber and hitch and for about 5 feet aft of the rear.

I finally went up on the ladder, took the cover off the camera and tilted it to the position I wanted. When I put the cover back on, it pushed the camera back to the original position.

Five minutes with a sanding disk on the Dremel fixed the problem. There was some plastic "flashing" left over from the process that molded the cover.

Need to manually change the angle of the view. Ladder the back of the RV. Remove the cover. Loosing the screws and push the camera into the position you want. May have to do some slight adjustments on the cover when you replace it over the camera. This is something I have done on my RV.
