UVW of 2000 Winnebago Journey
Hi I have received the paperwork for my Journey (the vehicle is still in NH) on all the info there is onky reference to GVWR but the cost of registration is based of UVW and I dont want to over pay. Where would I look to find it? Its not on the documentation (that only has GVWR) The brouchure also only lists GVWR. Apologies if this is a dumb question.
Thanks in advance

You will be able to get all of the specifications from the brochures available on the Winnebago website. For more detailed information I would contact Winnebago directly.

By UVW I'm assuming you mean Unloaded Vehicle Weight. You won't find that information anywhere in the brochure, because it's specific to the coach with all the options the original dealer or owner ordered. There should be (or was when the motorhome was delivered) an 8 1/2" X11" sheet of paper glued in the wardrobe closet with all the options, capacities, and weight of the vehicle as it rolled off the assembly line.
If that sticker no longer exists or you can't get to it you can call, e-mail or write the Winnebago Service Administration people with your Winnebago serial number.

My 2014 Itasca has a big yellow sticker on the driver's door, as well as a duplicate of that, in with all the paperwork in the owner's manual, which lists the OCCC of the vehicle. Subtracting that from the GVWR will give you the weight of the vehicle. That weight also includes a full tank of fuel which should be subtracted to get the actual weight of the MH.

Thank you both for your replies. Wizard could I be really cheeky and ask you to take a picture of the build sheet (or whatever you have this info on). This way I can have some kind of documentation to back up my claim of what the UVW is.
Thanks in advance

I always thought the 2000 Itasca Horizon and 2000 Winnebago Journey were almost the same motor home however the weight differences between 20,824 for the Horizon and 16,529 for the Journey didn't make sense. However the photo of the weight sheet from the Journey, sent by Wizard, explains the difference. It must have been a keying error as the sheet lists the weight at 19,529 only a 1,295 difference that could be explained by the weight of options and engine choice.

To send or respond, type message and then check the box at the bottom that lets you send to non-friends or something like that.
Don't know why its set up that way.
Moderator respond please
