2016 ERA 70c Electric Switch Mystery

Does anyone know what the switch in the rear cargo area of the ERA control? See attached to see switch. The picture is sideways. I couldn’t figure out how to rotate it

Can you post a larger picture (portrait mode) of the entire rear of the van? So we can better see the entire area back there? From the same perspective. Sometimes what else it might be near, answers the question of what does it do.
Close ups aren't useful in this case, since there's no apparent labeling on it.
A wild guess might be a remote propane on/off switch, or a remote water pump on/off switch, or a remote tank heater switch, or a remote sewage/waste pump switch for dumping split gray or black tanks, or...

Better pic, everything closed up, so the question becomes what is behind the panel it's mounted on? Sorry, but it isn't helping me improve my guesses.
Sorry, someone else will probably go, "oh that's just your mystery switch".

Send an email question to [email protected] with the 2nd pic, and include your question, and your year/make/model, and VIN, and/or your Winnebago seral number.
If they're not too busy, they usually get back to you in a day or two.
It obviously isn't causing you any grief, just a mystery.

One last question. Maybe just try pressing it. Does it have an on and off position? Or do you have to keep pressing it upwards to keep it "on"? Does it "click" when you press it up or down?
Does your van have a macerator pump for either the gray or black tanks, and is the dump pipe location anywhere near the back end of the van? When you press it, what do your hear, if anything?

The bathroom is behind the wall. The switch is not marked on/off. I do not hear anything or see anything. I thought it might be for the light inside the cargo space but it doesn’t turn it on.

I do not have a macerater pump.

My Via has a water pump switch in the wet bay so you can use the outdoor shower without going inside to switch the pump on. It's a 3 way setup so not marked On or Off because that changes when any of the other switches are pushed, so sometimes down is off and sometimes up is off. In fact mine could be easily turned on accidentally if any cargo fell against it so I made up a small hinged cover for it.

OK, so it's probably not a water pump on/off where it's located. No point.
No macerator pump, then not that. You'd hear it running if you pressed it. They're noisy, I have one to dump my gray tank, but rarely use it, as i added a secondary spigot and dump valve behind the reaer axle. It is a "press and hold" type of switch on the macerator pump to make it run.

It's sitting beside a 110VAC outlet beside what looks like a 12VDC cigar outlet so I'm thinking it's electrical in nature. Plug into shore power, and enable your coach batteries. Then get a 110 VAC night light, and a bullet style 12VDC battery voltage tester (some dollar stores have them or Amazon), plug them in to their respective outlets, and see what happens. If they both sense voltage, then try toggling the switch, if it toggles.
I also see what looks like the water bypass suction unit peeking out from behind the panel in pic #1. Still thinking it might be water pump related, for winterizing from the rear of the van.
Send Owner Resoures ([email protected]) an email and a pic with the prior info I suggested and they'll look up your exact unit and tell you what it might be (could have been added by a previous owner?).

Mystery solved! I posted the picture on the ERA Facebook group. Had 3 responses that it turns the cargo light on and off.

My must be broke or misswired since it doesn’t work and I know the light works because it turns in when the bathroom light is turned in.

Good idea posting on an ERA specific webpage. Tuck that away for future reference.
