Lowered driver's seat pedestal reccomendation?

I'm 6'1" with a long torso. As a result, I look out the top 6" or so of our Travato's windshield.

I'm looking for a suggestion for a lower seat pedestal on driver's side so that I can enjoy a bit more of the sky. Plus I will hopefully see better around the huge vision blocking stuff in the middle of the windshield.

Any suggestions?

Please note: I've seen replacements for the Promaster seat base which requires the use of that manufacturer's chair swivel. I'm hoping to find a lowered pedestal that will use the swivel that comes with the Travato (to save a chunk of cash).

Thanks in advance!

I've had that problem all my life and finding cars that fit me has always been a challenge.
When I bought my 2005 Chevy Express work van I had the same problem, I had to duck down to use the mirrors. I went to a place that specializes in setting up vehicles for the disabled, and they made me a seat base that gave me a lower seating position.
Is there any chance to cut the current pedestal down and weld it back together?

How about removing the center-mounted rear-view mirror instead?

I actually considered suggesting to you (as a joke) to let some air out of the tires!
One problem-solution technique is to reverse the problem, or to turn it upside-down.
Thanks, Eagle5

A few years back I had to find a shorter seat base for the co pilot that would work in my ACE. I found a great selection at shop4seats you might try there.
