Took my 2017 Paseo to Ford dealer to have oil changed and vehicle inspection. Dealer(s) said it did not pass due to no third brake light (light at top above rear doors.) Ford dealer said it was wired wrong.

Anyone else have this problem ?
.
This same question came up on the FaceBook PASEO site. Nobody with a PASEO has that light working as a brake light. I don't know why but it appears Winnie did that with the light.
If the light is there why not just re-wire/wire the existing light?
Winnebago should pay for that to be done since it is law in many states.

(RVM-14) It is what it is, and then it is what you make of it.
Our 2018 Travato does not have a 3rd brake light. I have read Ram Promaster did not have one on any vehicle. I have looked at other Promasters, and have not seen a 3rd brake light come on as the vehicle was braking. I’m not sure why they don’t have one. Is it not mandated in Europe?

I think you should check with the state inspection office. Not familiar with Texas but most states have an office of inspection place you can go visit and just ask your question.
