Travato - slam that door

We got a 2014 Travato 59g and we’re finding we really need to slam the sliding door for it to fully close. If we don’t it stays ajar and rain may get in etc.

Is there any adjustment to the door latch that can be done to make it easier to close?

Thanks for help

There usually ARE adjustments to vehicle doors of that style, but you do need proper tools to do it. Impact wrenches, air or electric help to have. A torque wrench is necessary. Then a laser level is a must. Plus a few more mechanic measuring type items would help a great deal. And a shop manual is handy to have.

You could also take it to a body shop.

But the first thing I would do is to make absolutely sure that where I was parking the rig is flat. Biggest reason doors in an RV won't close properly is because the rig isn't parked flat, or nearly flat.

Here is one trick we found in youtube: open a different door when is time to close the sliding door and you’ll have a much easier time getting it to close shut as you don’t have to battle the air bubble inside. Leaving it here in case somebody else find it useful.
