Winnebago Timberline Heating issue
I am wondering if anyone else is having a problem with getting the Timberline heating system to work on their Winnebago Roam.
I took my unit back to the dealer to have it looked at. After two week and I guess many discussions with Timberline and Winnebago, They told me I could pick my unit up. There were no changes made to the unit or parts replaced.
The solution to the problem was that I should wait a couple of minutes after the system failure to turn on and turn it on again. Keep doing this until it turned on.
I was told that the problem was caused the the length of the lines (fuel and distribution line to the heat exchanger. The system makes a heat measurement to determine if the system is overheating. So the problem is caused by how Winnebago installed the Timberline system into the Roam.
Since they didn't replace of fix anything, I believe that this should be a problem on all of the Roam RV's.
No where in the literature for the Roam or the Timberline Heating system is there an instruction that tell you to go thru the on off cycle until the system turns on.
It is also somewhat affected by the ambient temperature. The warmer it is the more likely it will turn on right away.
How would you feel if your smart TV won't turn on and you were told you had to keep trying.
Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this condition,
