2019 View Kitchen Faucet Touches Window while Traveling
We have a 2019 View 24D.
The kitchen faucet functions just fine. The irritant is that when we travel, the faucet swivels far enough so that the faucet head touches the window glass. When traveling, the constant tapping against the glass is no good for faucet or glass.
Dealer says that it is a residential type faucet and cannot be tightened so that it doesn't move on its own while vehicle is in motion.
We wrap the faucet head with bubble wrap to alleviate the tapping while in motion.
Any thoughts on a cure for this or a different method to stop the tapping on the window?

Nope. Yours sounds good. Ours does the same thing but doesn't touch our window.

I think our 18V24D has the same faucet. It is snug, never has moved during travel. Something is amiss here. Perhaps you should take it apart yourself to see how the thing is put together. To me that's another dealer making the "you bought it leave us alone" statement. That is not acceptable for the faucet to swing that freely and hit the window. Based on the roads we travel, like everyone else, if the thing was going to move on it's on accord it would have happened by now. I have not taken ours apart but if it is "normal" you simply have a loose bottom nut or the fitting on top is not adjusted where the gooseneck enters the body of the valve.

Our new 24D faucet does the same thing . And you are right the swivel nut can not be tightened and it is a residential faucet . We really like the sink and faucet and do not mind slipping a small piece of a noodle like kids use to float in the pool on around the faucet pipe . Works great and does not look bad . We use those noodles for a lot of things . Wine corks work for the tapping of the mini blinds twist rod . Just drill a hole in the end and slip it on the twist rod . Works great !

Perhaps there are different faucets that went into the things on different lines/times? I don't know. Yes, it is a residential faucet and ours is quite snug, not loose at all. Sometimes there may be no answer. Our faucet is always just where we left it when we stop, never has swung one way or the other.

Quick fix: a piece of pool noodle over the faucet so it doesn't bang/rattle on the window.

How about a snug fitting "O" ring at the contact point....almost a permanent solution..you would hardly know its there

I was curious about this issue since our faucet does not move that easily as I said so Google produce a lot of results. I just got lucky! One guy posted his fix with photos, lost the link, but you can find it. He wrapped a piece of rubber around the base of the gooseneck which is a lot like the O-ring proposed. Yeah, I would look for a fat O-ring and push it right down to the swivel point, maybe even over a wrap of old bicycle tubing strip cut to fit.

Camper goose neck hasn’t hit the window yet..
Home goose neck is just a small pipe jammed into a larger pipe with an “O” ring on the smaller (goose neck) pipe.. maybe a thicker “O” ring ?.
