20 VJ - Stopped for the night two days ago and put the awning out. Had a little light rain over nite, very little. Tried to close the awning and it stopped going in when it had six inches to go. Not raining at all at this point. Tried a few more times with the same result. Got the tools out and hand cranked it in. Stayed the next night in a hotel. Camped tonight and put the awning out. After a half hour tried to take it in. Same result - stays out about six inches and stops. No indication of stress on the motor or binding before it stops. Never had any issues with it before. Any ideas? Thanks.
On our 21D, the awning wouldn't fully close (though it was less than 6 inches extended).
A Winnebago service dealership spent hours trying to adjust the awning (there is an IN Limit Switch that may be able to adjust how far the awning retracts) - and were unable to get it to fully close.
So they manually retracted the awning and lashed it in place and ordered a replacement motor.
Once the new motor was installed, it appears the awning is now closing completely.
