Here is the definition of code 68:
- Error Code P0068 is defined as Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor (MAP)/ Mass Air Flow (MAF) Throttle Position Correlation. Meaning, the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) has detected an inconsistency in the positioning of the throttle sensor with the MAF.
Because your vehicle is relatively new, you will have the Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor, and not the Manifold Air Pressure Sensor. The cost to simply replace the MAF sensor and the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) would be:
MAF = $147.79 @ Rock Auto for the Motorcraft part
TPS = $51.79 @ Rock Auto for the Motorcraft part
I would recommend that you get the Motorcraft parts, even though they are more expensive; they work better. Also, I am sure that AutoZone can get the parts too. Be sure to leave your battery disconnected while you replace the sensors, which will give your computer time to re-set.
