How to put back day/night pleated shade

I was able to remove and restring day/night pleated shade of my 2002 22’ Minnie. But I can’t put it back there are 2 wood screws on both ends of the shade and a clamp in the middle part of the shade. I can put back the screws but am having difficulty with the middle clamp. The space is just to tight. Do I need to remove the valance? If so, how is this done. The screws holding the valance to the overhead cabinet will be behind the shade once this is installed. Please help.

Is it possible a bit different method would solve it? I find that simply pressing the shade back up will not snap into the clip but if I tilt the shade and then press one side into the clip and then rotate the base of the shade it will snap in. Does the clip has one side shaped slightly different than the other side? If so, try putting the shade in the side of the clip which is shorter first, then press the other side up.
Excuse the crude drawing but what I'm suggesting is to try putting the side with arrow pointing to it, in first then rotate the shade up.
See if that might help to avoid taking the valance down?

I removed the center clamp and just used a screw for the center. I couldn't get the shade to click into place on the center clamp.

I did try to tilt the shade into the clamp.
