Location of slide-out relay?
Does anyone know the location of the slide-out relay on the Winnebago Views/Navions? I looked under the passenger seat where I thought it would be but didn't see it...

What year? Not sure if the relay is in the control box but in my 2020 the main control box is in the drivers side storage compartment.

It's a 2017, are you talking about the slideout controller? I didn't think to look near it but I can check.

Yes I was talking about the controller. Winnebago site has a wiring diagram on their site. Not sure which floorplan you have. I see an optional relay in the diagram but it doesn't say where it is located.
I just changed the setting on my switch today so I sent have to have the engine on to operate the slide.

Not sure how much has changed from the 2017 to the 2020 model years. For my 2020, remove the slide out switch and on the back you cut the wire that's connected to #8 terminal and you connect that wire to the #2 terminal. You cut the number 2 wire and do not reuse. If you do a search on thoseyoungguys they have a late model view and have a write up with pictures. I followed exactly what they did and worked slick.

The back of my switch is different from what it shows on thoseyoungguys site, mine only has 3 wires total. If I recall correctly (been a couple of weeks since I looked at it) mine had a wire for #2 but the #8 spot was empty or it could've been vice-versa.
I assume your switch had more than 3 wires?

I believe mine had 5 wires. It matched the write up exactly. Winn must have made changes along the way. Not sure what needs to be done in your case.

Thanks for the input Crah. Maybe someone else will chime in... I've looked all over for the relay but haven't found it yet.

Take a look at the winnebago website wiring diagram but for a 2016 year. That seems to match up to your 3 wires. Check the second page. Seems wire 2 gets power from the relay.

Yes, that's correct. The problem is I haven't been able to locate that relay. It's not near the slide controller, or the switch, or under the passenger side seat. I started looking under the drivers seat but haven't yet found it.

Is your battery for your chassis under the drivers feet or in the engine compartment? If it's in the engine compartment, the relay could possibly be there?

It's under the drivers feet. I'm trying to trace back the parking brake wire to see where it goes and hopefully lead me to the relay.

Is it easier to connect to a house batt 12 volt source near the switch and just disconnect the power from the ignition relay?

I considered doing that, it wouldn't be too hard. But I would like to keep the parking brake on requirement which I would lose. I think I'm just going to leave it as-is for now. Best I can tell the relay is probably under the drivers side seat somewhere in the tangle of wires.

Re:Slide relay
I have a 2016 View and did this over a year ago
Relay is located behind the slide switch
Unplug the relay and jump out terminal 30 and.87 which will bypass the power directly to the switch and allow slide operating without the engine running or.E brake engaged.
