Pull Down Faucet Weight Making Thumping Noise

Just got a 21 View 24V. The weight on the kitchen faucet pull down makes a thumping noise when driving. Anyone have a clever way to keep it from hitting the wall preventing that thumping noise?

Wrap two dish towels around it, and tie them closed, or use a couple strips of furnace duct tape.

We have two plastic storage containers under our galley sink and don't hear the thumping. Could be the containers hold the faucet hose in place enough to prevent the thumping.

During our inspection yesterday, the technician said we have to lay the hose down over the sink waste pipe to keep the weight from banging around.

Hoping to find a more elegant solution. Maybe an elastic band instead of a weight?

We find a short piece of foam pipe insulation works.

Styrofoam panel works

I cut a small panel 8" X 8" - if I recall, from packing box, used 3m command strips to stick it to the exterior wall under the sink. Works very well.
House insulation board will work too.

Exactly what I was going to suggest. Attach with zip ties if necessary.

Just be sure there is no significant restriction of the weight's movement when the faucet head is pulled down.

May I suggest you do what we did? Change out the faucet, to a spring loaded counter weighted design. Why? Because it eliminates the whole issue of a pull down hose below, (in your case, it would eliminate the sound altogether), which also limits storage below, and solves your issue.

The good news (for everyone else) is I’ve seen them elsewhere now for a lot less.

Yeah, cheaper fix for sure, but then I would have still had that POC plastic faucet with a hose that gets caught on things under the sink when I use the sprayer. This was definitely a worthwhile upgrade, for us.
