We just took our first trip in our Outlook 25j. It was only 2 nights to a campground about 40 miles from home. The cog had no hookups,so this was a good time to test the dry camping capabilities of our new used coach. When we got the 25j it had 3700 miles and 72 hours of generator use. After this weekend I can see why. The batteries were not enough to power the 120v ac refrigerator overnight, so I think I’m looking at putting some new batteries in the coach.
So here’s what I’m looking at. Sam’s Club has a 105 ah Duracell Platinum AGM battery for $179 so I’m looking at $360 for 2. The battery has an 18 month free replacement warranty. That leaves me with about 105 useable amp hours because lead acid chemistry batteries shouldn’t be discharged below 50%. My second option is a 120 ah LiFePO4 battery from China for $464, so 2 for $928. This will give me a full 240 ah as the LiFePO4 can be discharged to zero with no harm. It carries a 12 month warranty, but who knows how that would work out. The other advantage is LiFePO4 takes many more charge cycles. My last option is 100 ah LiFePO4 from Fuel Zero for $650, so 2 for $1300. These come with a 3 year warranty.
I know that BattleBorn is out there and has a reputation as the best, so it’s not a possibility for me due to cost. I won’t be using these batteries in long term below freezing weather, which is where BB shines.

Any comments or advice is appreciated. I’ll probably be pulling the trigger within a week.
