Sun screen for 2021 View

Is there a sunshade (or screen) to put on the outside of the windshield for a Winnebago View? Our old motorhome had a privacy screen you put on the outside that wrapped around the windshield and side windows. It worked great to keep the sun out but you could see through it. The shades that come with the view work OK but I feel like I’m in a cave since they block all the light out.

These are great. Roll down the covers to reveal a white screen that is difficult to see through from the outside, easy to see out of from the inside.

Bought this for my class A -

They look to have Sprinter ones assuming that's your chassis.

I recently purchased a Magna Shade for our windshield and 2 side windows (https://magneshade.com). They are expensive, but totally worth it if you are in a hot sunny area. There are some Youtube reviews that show a 20 degree drop from just using the internal pull-down shades. The bonus is that you can see out, but folks cannot see in. At night your inside lights can be seen from the outside, but nothing else. Very easy to remove and install once you have mounted the magnets, which are not hard to install as well.

Sunscreen forView

Why wouldn't you use the shades included with the RV. They are internal based

They are so;id. not easy to install and take up precious space when not in use/

The windshield shades in our 2021 View were much easier to put on after we had the useless rearview mirror removed.

The side ones are pain in the butt. you have to get the magnets just right, otherwise they slide down.

It took us a while to get used to the side shades - but now we've gotten pretty good at quickly putting them up - and getting them to stay.

Of course, if you open the door and then close it firmly - the shade could fall off. When the shades are up, we usually only enter through the coach door.

We've found the shades do a pretty reasonable job of insulating the cab from outside heat when temps are upper 90s or in the 100s.

One thing we haven't tried (and probably won't be able to do before we trade in our View for a new Journey) is reversing the shades so the dark side is on the outside when temps are very low outside - and see if that helps to keep the cab a little warmer when temps are 40s or below.

Before removing the rear view mirror, we considered buying outside covers for the cab windows & windshield. But with the very limited amount of storage in the View (which we fill up - including using the overcab for storage), we decided it didn't make sense.
