I called Winnebago today about the movin view satelite dome cover being replaced and they told me that instead of replacing only the dome I would be getting a call from winegard to replace the whole system with an upgraded unit at no expense. Obviouly there is a problem even though mine work ok. Has any one else heard of this

What I heard was that Winney had so much trouble with the Winegard in-motion satelite that they changed suppliers to King-Dome as of 1/1/05. Good for you if Winegard is going to do an upgrade.

Good luck,

John

I just got my letter from Winegard today. They are replacing my old motion satellite unit with the newest MV-4005 model with DVB technology. This is a complete swapout, parts and labor free. The domes need not be painted as they are black. I am very excited they have stepped up to the plate and did this free upgrade.

Did you contact Winegard previously about problems or are they just contacting all customers? I have had numerous problems with my unit. Seems ok now, but dot't know for how long.

We also have one of these miserable in motion domes. I wonder if we will be included in their replacement exercise since ours is 3 years old. Winegard has has to work on it every year at GNR and last year spent an entire day "fixing" it. Of course it works til we leave Iowa then stops.

I didn't do a thing. I just got a letter in the mail from Winegard telling me what they would do for me.

I was in shock!

I'm not sure, whatever one they were installing last March/April. I did have a problem with it taking a long time to lock on to a signal and keep it locked. They state this will solve that problem and also a moisture problem and leaking problem. Much faster signal search routine.

Received the letter also. I think the dish number is 099 that has the problem. The number is on the letter. Don't have it here. But I am sure if you call them you will receive help. I have called them before and helped over the phone. Good tec support.
