We are in AZ and had high winds today. Even for a heavy rig,you could feel the wind rocking the 5th. We have had a few minor things go wrong, one ceiling light gone out already, dealer has one on order. Dealer owes us a new table that was skinned up a little when we bought it, that's on order also.I have pulled this unit about 900 miles with no complaints in that department. They did not put a fantastic fan in the bath, just a light weight one, so i am going to replace that one with a fantastic fan, the first day the wind does not blow 45 MPH.
We would like to hear from more Destination owners, unless we are the only ones

It seems like there are lots of Minnie owners here but not so many 5th wheel owners. It will be interesting to see how many responses you get. We love our Minnie and I had thought that if we wanted to increase in size, I would have to give a strong consideration to the Winnebago 5th wheels.

We had a very panic driven morning a couple of days ago. DW gets out of bed and the first words out of her mouth was " We have water in the floor". Seems the line from the cutoff under the kitchen island to the fridge had decided not to stay connected in the middle of the night. We spent the day drying carpet on the edge of the slide and draining water that had collected in the belly. After examination, I do not think the line was pushed far enough in the ferrel or the ferrel was upside down when installed. I reinstalled the line and all is well there. This has taught me two lessons, first is always turn of the water when leaving the park, second, invest in some water alarms. If we had water alarms installed we would not have had as big of a mess to deal with.

Another good water habit is to not turn on the city water without someone in the trailer to watch for surprises.
Don't ask me how I know this....

We traded our Winnie TT 2401RG in last week for a 2017 Winnebago Voyage Lite 28SGS. Loved the towable 2401RG; hoping the 5th wheel quality and ownership experience is similar to the TT. We towed it straight to winter storage, so, unfortunately, we won't complete a maiden voyage for another couple months.
Would like to hear more from Winnebago 5th wheel owners who seem to be somewhat scarce...

What is the year and model of your Destination? How has it been working for you?
We have a 2016 Destination 36RL.

Where did you trade your unit in? If your 2401RG was blue, I may have purchased it

Just got a cherry red 25RKS 5th wheel Winnebago Minnie Plus towable. Just the right size for Patti my wife and Chip our Bichon. Have yet to make a trip but towing it home (my first 5th wheel) was pretty good. Very stable on the road (of course I was driving SLOOOOW). My tow truck is a 2017 Ford F150 with 3.5L Ecoboost engine (375 HP, 475 ft-lbs torque, 11000+ lbs. towing ability - the trailer is about 7200 lbs empty). I DO HAVE A QUESTION... I want to install a cover over the slide-out but can't seem to find any info on where it supposed to be bolted/screwed onto the siding above the slideout. I imagine I will need to screw the attachment into a beam of some kind ... and not just the laminate which I imagine is thin and non-supportive. I have an email to Winnebago factory but no response yet and the dealer was iffy to say the least. THANK YOU!
