2529RG Heater Vent Flange Under Dinette Improperly Aligned

FYI... Getting ready to take the rig camping soon and was test firing the furnace. Weak airflow at the vent that exits under the dinette seat. Pulled the hose from the flange mounted to the floor looking for an obstruction. The flange was offset from the actual hole in the floor by more than 50%..... The dinette framing was interfering with the flange alignment, so they just did the best they could (which was laughable). Modified the framing and properly aligned the flange. Good airflow now. Again, just FYI....

I did the same thing, plus duct taped it to seal it up. Still didn't get much air flow.

Does your furnace make a loud rumble when the burner is running (nothing to do with the fan which starts first)? Ours is so loud I feel bad running it when we are camped near others. We bought a Shark heater/air filter that does fine keeping the trailer warm when we are on power. I also sent a recording to Dometic, hoping it is an adjustment.

... sorry, forgot about the duct under the dinette seat. Ours was slightly misaligned. I would say it was 80% flow. I will modify to serve the whole duct flange.

Ours does not rumble like you are describing. Given the amount of plumbing, ducting, framing, and electrical inside that lower cabinet space where the furnace is mounted, I would check to make sure you don't have something vibrating against the furnace. I would also pull the exterior burner cover and make sure everything is seated and aligned properly on that external exhaust. Beyond that, I don't have any suggestions.

Will check furnace area. I'm going to hinge that access panel. Want to add a plug below the drop-down shelf and another underneath along the present wire run where I join the wires. I think No1Hunter has a noisy furnace also, glad to hear it is not typical. Is your 2529RG a 2022 or 2023? Would think furnace is the same.

Mine is a '22 with a June build. I'm sure the furnace is the same. Mine sounds the same as the one I had on my 2018 27N rig.

Thanks for sharing. I just purchased the same year and model TT that you own and noticed the same problem with heat coming out of that vent under the seat. There is hardly any warm air coming out at all. Matter of fact most of the air seems to be coming out of the register inside the storage bin instead. What a waste. I just assumed that with such a small furnace fan trying to feed the entire unit via ducts that this was just how it was going to be.
