Awning Keeps Extending 2022 Micro Minnie 2108FBS

Hi All

We have a 2022 2108FBS, and this will now be our third summer using it.

I noticed the other day, when extending the awning, I would let go of the power switch, and the awning would still continue to roll out to the full max before stopping. It almost appears it wants to go farther but the overhang part of the awning stops it. If I retract it a few inches, it will revert to rolling back out full again

When retracting the awning (more than a few inches), it stops as soon as I let go of the power switch.

Does this sound like an issue with the switch ? Does this happen with anyone else ? Is it perhaps due to the struts on the awning ?

Just getting some feedback to determine if I approach my dealer, or this is the way it is.

Thanks in advance

Almost certainly the switch. Cheap to replace.

Mine does the same thing. I found that if I retract it to the point where it stops and come back in a few min. it will work correctly.

Thanks. I'll play with it a bit more, and if need be get a new switch from my dealer

On replacing the switch, it may have a brand and model number on the side of the switch? Carling is one common brand, so if you find that info, you may find it quick and easy to walk it in to a local electronics parts store for a match.
Quicker, easier, and often much cheaper as it is not an RV specific item in many cases!
