De-winterizing a Micro Minnie FLX 2108DS

I bought the trailer in December and have spent the winter modifying and upgrading based on a lot of experience with past trailers. When I bought the trailer, I requested the dealer not to winterize since it was unnecessary. They winterized anyway. Do i need to go through a complete sanitation process because of the this. I ask because next week (after the Maine Storm passes) I am planning to de-winterize and fill the tanks for a short break-in run over April 18th to 20.

Winnebago towables division winterizes all units prior to shipping. They use pink non-toxic anti-freeze, it’s odorless and tasteless. Wont hurt you if ingested. There should not be any anti-freeze in the fresh water tank. You should blow out all lines, partially fill fresh tank, and empty it just in case there’s some in there. Then partially fill again. Using the fresh water pump, pressurize the system, run all taps until there is no more pink coming through. Then open low point drains and let remaining water in lines drain out. No need to sanitize, IMHO, as everything, tank, pump, taps, and lines are new. Don’t forget to set hot water valves to “tank” position, because when winterized, they will be in bypass position.

My own personal opinion is why not! From the sound of your post you have been around TT for some time. It does not take more time and effort to run a bleach mixture throught the lines than just flushing them out. You might as well start the year out knowing your water lines are clean and good to go.
