Dometic thermostat unreliable

I have read where owners are unhappy with their Domestic thermostat: mainly that the buttons are so sensitive. I purchased a 2108ds a few months back when the previous owner gave me a replacement thermostat, saying I will probably want to replace. He had already replaced it once and this would be a second replacement injust 3 years. In have been playing with the thermostat the last few weeks and it is all over the place when I touch buttons. Also, there have been times when I set the thermostat only to find it totally shut off when I went to recheck. I'm sure it's a quick job to replace with the new thermostat I was given, but why bother if I'm likly going to experience problems. I understand there are a lot of user error situations with this kind of thing. But I'm tired of trying to make the sensitive buttons work. So my question is for those who have had the same frustrations, is there a different thermostat you recommend?

We share your frustration - on a recent trip we had to reset our dometic a few times (power/mode switch at same time as ^ temp up)... don't know if you tried that but it resolved our issues we were running into. I am certainly interested in a more reliable stat if one exists or at least a software upgrade procedure if possible.

Is this the Digital CT "Capacitive Touch" thermostat? If so, they are tied to a control box in the AC by just 3 wires, and take a bit more work to replace than just swapping to a different thermostat.

I found that doing some research. I guess I’ll try the new thermostat and buy some time to learn what I need I do when that one fails. .....I do see there is a blue tooth version. That would eliminate the touchy buttons. Anyone have a review of that?

I have this thermostat. I found it randomly shuts the A/C off. Replaced it and still has same issue. Most of the time when it shuts off is when I set the A/C much cooler than current temperature (10+ degrees). If I set it to 5 degrees lower it stays running. I just have to remember to wait till its at set temperature before lowering more.

domestic thermostat face cover plate

yes, the original factory thermostat face cover is defective and does not work properly. I did some research, and they've made a new cover, sent it to me and it's worked perfectly since. I have all the info, but it's in the trailer locked up and covered in the driveway right now. but I think I called domestic and they addressed the quickly and without cost.

Greetings! I am new to the website and new to owning a micro mino. I am frustrated trying to set up the antenna so as to utilize the television. The instructions are horrible! I am not understanding how to make sure that I have it set up properly and I hate to say this, but do I have to manually climb on the roof to the move the antenna? I am not seeing any other option. I am humbling asking for help while I am embarrass myself with the lack of tech savvy or information to even see if this is working.
