Fresh Water Camping 30RLSS

Camping with no hookups filled Fresh Water Tank turned valve to camper and pump keeps running and water both hot and cold keeps sputtering. Hot water tank is full and has let water run for five minutes or more still sputtering?

Sound like air in the lines and the pump is in a cavitation mode. Try opening a valve in the kitchen and let it squirt. May do that for a minute for the air to come out the the line will see pressure and the pump will stop. If not, check the fill valve position. The pump might be sucking air.

Five minutes of spitting is too long. I’ll bet it’s sucking air.

"Fresh Water Tank turned valve to camper" Is that what the label says "camper"? What is the other position?
That valve sounds like the camper fresh water tank fill valve while hooked to shore water.

Can you see the fresh water tank to see if it is indeed full.

Good call. The water tank may be empty. What does the tank level gauge show?

Hooked up to city water then switched to tanks and everything worked fo a while then back to spudering and blowing air. Taking it in for service best guess is hose into tank isn’t connected right.

On the valve that you move to "camper" what are the specific labels on the valve? I assume it just 2 a position valve.

Have you tried moving the valve to the other position and trying it?

On many RV's if you follow the hoses back from the water pump, you can find where it attaches to the water tank. A visual inspection may pin point the problem.
On some RVs there is "winterizing" hose and valve which is used to for the water pump to suck RV antifreeze from a bottle through the pump and into all the water pipes. If the that valve for is positioned to the winterizing hose you will have the problem described.

So when you move the valve from Trailer to City does that make a difference when you are disconnected from city water and have the water pump on? I asked this question yesterday. Did you try it?

I believe when you move the valve to "trailer" (camper??) and you are connected city water, your fresh water tank will fill. It could also be that when the valve is on "Trailer" the water pump is pumping water from the fresh water tank, back into the fresh water tank in a loop, possibly accounting for your problem.

As someone wrote earlier, somewhere in the system air is getting in.

It is helpful to know that with a totally full tank you were able to get 4-6 gallons out before it started spuddering again.

If you can it would be interesting do some testing, like filling the tank and them measuring how much water pumping it takes to start spuddering again. Repeating the test a couple of times to see if the amount water pumped stays the same.
